Transneft’s oil pumping falls by 10.8% to 36.8 mln tns in March

MOSCOW, Apr 1 (PRIME) -- Pumping of oil via the pipeline system of Russia’s Transneft fell by 10.8% on the year to 36.8 million tonnes in March, and may fall further to 36.3 million tonnes in April, Igor Dyomin, adviser to the president of Transneft and the company’s press secretary, told reporters on Thursday.

Pumping of Russian oil through the oil pipeline monopoly’s system shrank by 11.1% to 35 million tonnes in March and is to amount to 34.8 million tonnes in April, he said.

Export pumping of Russian oil by Transneft decreased by 19.8% to 14.3 million tonnes in March, but should rise to 14.8 million tonnes in April. Exports to China through the East Siberia–Pacific Ocean pipeline went down by 3.2% to 3.2 million tonnes in March, while exports via the Druzhba pipeline plunged by 36.9% to 2.78 million tonnes in the month. In April, exports through the pipelines should amount to 3.4 million tonnes and 2.7 million tonnes, respectively.

Pumping of oil to the Russian refineries fell by 3.9% to 20.76 million tonnes in March, while pumping to the Belarusian refineries jumped by almost fourfold to 1.237 million tonnes. Oil delivery to the Russian refineries through Transneft’s pipelines in April should amount to 20.05 million tonnes and delivery to the Belarusian refineries should reach 1.305 million tonnes, Dyomin said.
